Public Safety Academy Expands Public CPR/AED Course Schedule
Responding to regional needs, the Public Safety Academy has begun offering convenient, bi-monthly training in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to the public.
This course offering is suitable for people with limited or no medical knowledge needing a course completion card as a job requirement or for those wanting to acquire this valuable knowledge on their own. Heartsaver CPR is a popular course for child care providers. Upon completion of the course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED Course Completion Card, valid for two years. All instructors are certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) and all AHA standards are followed.
Space is limited due to small class size and registration is required. The $50 fee includes current AHA manual and course completion card. For more information please contact Deb Morrone, 260-439-8204, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
Classes will be held at the Public Safety Academy, 7602 Patriot Crossing (Behind Southtown Center/Menards) from 8:00am-Noon on February 18, April 21, August 18 and October 20.
