IPFW
IPFW is the largest, most comprehensive university in northeast Indiana with over 190 programs in which students can earn certificates, associate, baccalaureate and master’s degrees. As an educational partner of the Public Safety Academy (PSA), IPFW is offering general education classes at the PSA location for students in any major. Students attending the Public Safety Academy may also be interested in obtaining the Risk and Emergency Management Certificate, Certificate in Supervisory Leadership, or taking a course in Reality Spanish. They will also have the opportunity to complete associate or baccalaureate degrees in General Studies .
Visit the IPFW/Public Safety Academy page for information on the above offerings.
The certificate in Risk and Emergency Management will inform and enhance the knowledge base and skills level of those who are responsible for managing risks and emergencies. Students need not be enrolled in a degree program to complete this certificate.
The Supervisory Leadership certificate program helps you prepare for supervisory leadership positions in any industry. The classes can later be applied toward an associate degree with a major in organizational leadership and supervision. The certificate option is available to community members who apply as non-degree seeking students and to students in good academic standing who are enrolled in non-OLS plans of study.
Reality Spanish is a course specially designed for real life application of the Spanish language in the workplace. All words and phrases are specific to the professional environment and designed to elicit the responses needed to interact with a Spanish-speaking clientele.
The General Studies Degree Program is designed for students who wish to customize their own degree program and take courses in a broad range of subjects to tailor-fit their course work to personal interests, goals, or career needs. General Studies’ graduates have used their degree to pursue further study and careers in areas such as business, public relations, medicine, law, education, and social work.
Visit the IPFW/Public Safety Academy page for current courses, admission and registration information.
