 <title>R.A.D. Self-defense Education</title>

&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Offered by IPFW Division of Continuing Studies and taught by Nationally Certified R.A.D. Instructors&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt;
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
The Rape Agression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The R.A.D. System is comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and risk avoidance, while processing to the basics of hands-on defense training. R.A.D. is not a martial arts program. Students receive a workbook/reference manual that outlines the entire physical defense program for reference and continuous personal growth.

&lt;strong&gt;When:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
August 2- 23 (4 meetings)&lt;br /&gt;
Saturdays, 10 am- 1 pm
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Where:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Col. Grossman is one of the world&#039;s foremost experts in the field of human agression and the roots of violence and violent crime. He is a West Point pyschology professor, Professor of Military Science, and an Army Ranger who has combined his experiences to become the founder of a new field of scientific endeavor, which has been termed &amp;quot;killology&amp;quot;. He is the author of &lt;em&gt;On Killing&lt;/em&gt; which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. He co-authored with Gloria DeGaetano &lt;em&gt;Stop Teaching Our Kids to Kill: A Call to Action Against TV, Movie, and Video Game Violence&lt;/em&gt;. His most recent book titled &lt;em&gt;On Combat&lt;/em&gt; is the sequel to &lt;em&gt;On Killing&lt;/em&gt;. Additionally, he has been an expert witness and consultant in State and Federal courts, to include serving on the prosecution team in UNITED STATES vs. TIMOTHY MCVEIGH. He continues to train elite military and law enforcement organizations worldwide about the reality of combat.
