Education Partners
Anthis
Anthis Career Center offers two programs at the Public Safety Academy. The Firefighter Program and Criminal Justice Program.
The Firefighter program is a combined effort of the Anthis Career Center, the Fort Wayne Fire Department, and the Allen County Volunteer Fire Department. The program is proficiency based, preparing students to pass the national accreditation test for Firefighter I and II. Instruction is provided by certified and experienced firefighters.
Ivy Tech
Ivy Tech Community College is the nation’s largest statewide community system and the state’s second largest public post-secondary institution with over 105,000 students enrolled annually. Ivy Tech has 23 campuses throughout Indiana. It serves as the state’s engine of workforce development, offering affordable degree programs and training that are aligned with the needs of its communities, along with courses and programs that transfer to other colleges and universities in Indiana. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

IPFW
IPFW is the largest, most comprehensive university in northeast Indiana with over 190 programs in which students can earn certificates, associate, baccalaureate and master’s degrees. As an educational partner of the Public Safety Academy (PSA), IPFW is offering general education classes at the PSA location for students in any major. Students attending the Public Safety Academy may also be interested in obtaining the Risk and Emergency Management Certificate, Certificate in Supervisory Leadership, or taking a course in Reality Spanish. They will also have the opportunity to complete associate or baccalaureate degrees in General Studies .
